Lodging
& Meals
You
will stay at Hitchcock's Hideaway,
which is located on the shores of Diefenbaker Lake. The accomodations
and meals are second to none. Delicious home cooked meals will
be served in the spacious dining room. Breakfast will be served
about 5 a.m..You will return to the lodge following the morning
hunt for lunch and perhaps a short nap. Following the afternoon
hunt for ducks or upland game, you will head back to the lodge
for a hearty supper and some time to relax and relive the day's

Dates
Season
dates are from September to December with the
prime time being the third week of September to the end of October.
Bag limits were set as follows:

Ducks
- 8 per day (3 of which may be pintails), possession limit is
16

Dark
Geese - 8 per day (3 of which may be white fronts), possession
limit is 16

White
Geese - 20 per day, possession limit is 60

Sharp
Tail Grouse - 3 per day, season limit of 6

Hungarian
Partridge -8 per day, season limit of 24
Steel
shot must be used for all waterfowl hunting. Lead shot may be
used for upland game.
Rates
Hunts
are 3 or 6 days in duration- Monday to Wednesday, Thursday to Saturday
or Monday to Saturday.
- Three
day hunts include 3 morning hunts and 2 afternoon hunts.
- Six day hunts include 6 morning hunts and 5 afternoon hunts.
- Minimum
of three hunters per group, and a maximum of 6 hunters per group.
- Rates
are $450 US per person plus 5% GST, per day. This includes all meals and accomodation while at the
lodge, guides, decoys, blinds as well as transportation in and
from the fields while hunting. A deposit of 50% is required upon
booking with the balance due upon arrival.

Game Bird License - $116.00 CDN

Certificate - $11.00 CDN
- Federal
Migratory Stamp - $18.19 CDN
Firearm
Laws
Recent
changes to Canada's gun laws require that all non residents complete
a Non-Resident Firearm Declaration form (JUS 909EF), which will
serve as a license and registration. This is also required to
purchase ammunition. There is a fee of $50 CDN that is good for
12 months. This form must be filled out in triplicate and signed
in the presence of the cutoms officer. Hunters are advised to
complete the form prior to arrival. We would be happy to send
you the appropriate forms upon booking.
